APPLY to be a vendor
THERE ARE NO APPLICATION FEES OR BOOTH FEES
NEW IN 2024 - We will only be accepting 40 vendors for each First Friday event.
Submit an application on our website. Within a few days you will receive a confirmation email that we have received your form.
Applications will close exactly 4 weeks before the event, and a selected vendor list will be posted the very next day.
Vendor locations will be emailed to you one week before the event.
HOW WE SELECT VENDORS - We will select wide variety of vendors each month, and do out best to make sure everyone who applies gets a chance to be a vendor at our First Friday Art Walk. If you are not selected for one month, it is very likely that you will be selected the next time you apply. Some priority will be given to local Beech Grove residents. We will be sure to save a few spots each month for emerging artists who are new to markets or showing their art for the first time.
Food sales
Food vendors must have their food handlers (or Home Based Vendor) permit on file with the Marion County Health Department, and follow all rules regarding packaging and labeling. Additionally, you must provide the BGAC with a copy of your liability insurance listing Beech Grove Artist Collective AND Next Stop Beech Grove as additionally insured.
Set Up
We are set up on the sidewalks of Main Street.
Artist must bring all set up materials (tables, chairs, easels, racks, etc.). Each vendor is allowed space for one 6 or 8 foot table.
Canopy tents are not allowed. We understand that this is an inconvenience for some, but canopy tents make this event too crowded and we need to keep a walking path clear to ADA regulations at all times. You may have a small canopy (3x6’) that covers your table, but does not extend into the walking space.
Content
The mission of our First Friday Art Walk is to support local artists and makers. Our intention is to give people a space to sell their handmade works of art. This event does support local businesses in the way of bringing an audience to Beech Grove to see what we have to offer, however we would like to steer clear of having businesses set up promotional booths that do not align with our mission for artwork to be sold. This includes religious and political promotions. We do not allow vendors selling commercially made products, school fundraisers, cosmetics and beauty packages, etc.
We do not allow businesses to set up booths simply to advertise their services. You must be selling handmade creations of some kind. Please do not use this event to resell thrifted items and antiques. Certainly these items may be used as part of your artwork or craft, but we want to keep First Friday art-focused.
HANDMADE GOODS ONLY:
Visual artists - paintings, drawings, prints, etc
Ceramics & pottery
Wood & Metal working
Fiber arts - crochet, fabric, sewn items, knitting, macrame , etc
Jewelry
Anything handmade and original!
In the event of rain we will leave it up to the artist to set up and continue. It is up to the artist to determine the dangers of having their art out during inclement weather.
